Tony Rosso is a partner in the Tax Department and has been with Chapman and Cutler LLP since 1986.

Tony is primarily involved in the tax aspects of tax-exempt financings throughout the country, including new money and refunding financings for the benefit of private corporations, 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental units. He has also worked extensively on the tax aspects of various investment vehicles.

Representative Transactions

  • Providing the tax analysis with respect to numerous tax-exempt single family mortgage revenue bond issues, as bond counsel, special tax counsel and underwriter's counsel
  • Providing the tax analysis as bond counsel with respect to several tax-exempt bond issues for the benefit of a multi-state 501(c)(3) hospital system
  • Representing an agricultural processing firm in obtaining a private letter ruling from the Internal Revenue Service with respect to a proposed issue of solid waste disposal revenue bonds
  • Representing conduct borrowers and issuers in obtaining several closing agreements from the Internal Revenue Source for changes in use of tax-exempt bond financed property
  • Providing the tax analysis as bond counsel and underwriter's counsel for a series of tax-exempt solid waste and sewage bond issues for the benefit of a company engaged in oil refining and chemical production
  • Representing a paper manufacturing company in an Internal Revenue Service audit of an outstanding bond issue
  • Providing the tax analysis as bond counsel for several bond issues for the benefit of municipal water districts
  • Providing tax representation with respect to numerous unit investment trust offerings, including obtaining a private letter ruling from the Internal Revenue Service
  • Providing the tax analysis for qualified state tuition programs
