David Thill is a partner in the Banking and Financial Services Department and the Asset Securitization Department and a member of the Lease Finance Group.

David concentrates on complex commercial transactions, including structured finance, lease financing, personal property and real estate secured lending, and problem credit restructurings. His clients include lenders and lessors in middle market financings and issuers and other market participants in structured finance transactions, as well as corporate borrowers. David possesses significant experience in the commercial law aspects of intellectual property, including licensing and secured transactions involving intellectual property collateral. He served for six years on the Uniform Commercial Code Committee of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar. He has received many awards, including being recommended in banking and finance by PLC Which Lawyer? and listed as a “Super Lawyer” in Banking by Northern California Super Lawyers for the years 2005–2012.

Before joining the firm, David was a shareholder of the law firm of Gnazzo Thill, P.C., which combined with Chapman and Cutler LLP in June 2003.
