Travis Wimsett is an associate in Chapman and Cutler's National Public and Health & Education Finance Department, focusing on tax-exempt and taxable financings for non-profit healthcare, educational, and cultural institutions. He participated in the firm's summer associate program in 2013 and joined the firm in 2014.
During law school, Travis worked as a 1L Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Scholar at the Clorox Company in Oakland, California. While with the company, he worked with intellectual property matters, drafted securities documents relating to SEC compliance, and assisted in revising the company's social media policy.
Prior to law school, Travis taught English, Spanish, and English as a Second Language (ESL) in his home state of Kentucky; he also taught ESL in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Additionally, he worked as an education policy researcher at Vanderbilt University.
