Overview

Dave Hambourger is Chapman and Cutler LLP’s Chief Information Officer. A law firm technology veteran, Dave has spent the last 17 years developing comprehensive and strategic technology initiatives at large law firms, including leading the advancement of technology platforms, innovation and product development, and practice management process improvement designed to increase productivity, collaboration, efficiency and profitability. Prior to joining Chapman, Dave served as CIO for two Am Law 100 firms and one Am Law 150 firm, where he led teams consisting of information technology, practice services, and user support professionals. He also worked as Director of the Legal Technology Resource Center for the American Bar Association and spent several years as a Clinical Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

David is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and previously served on its Board of Trustees. He has served on the Council of the American Bar Association’s Law Practice Management Section, and is a frequent speaker and author on legal technology and management topics.
