Overview

Giovanni de Merich is an associate in Chapman's Asset Securitization Department. His practice is focused on securitization and structured finance transactions involving a wide variety of asset classes.

His experience includes advising institutional clients as issuer counsel, loan sellers counsel, underwriter counsel, and third-party purchaser counsel in securitizations including commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), non-performing loans (NPLs), and unlikely to pay loan (UTP) securitization transactions.

Prior to joining Chapman, Giovanni practiced at Sidley Austin LLP's New York office and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP's Rome, Italy office.
