Kristin Walsh Hilson is an associate in Chapman’s National Public and Health & Education Finance Department. Kristin focuses her practice on tax-exempt and taxable financings for educational, cultural, and health care institutions. She also represents financial institutions in the municipal derivatives area, including interest rate swaps and commodities hedging transactions.
She is a regular participant in public finance industry conferences, including Women in Public Finance, the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the National Association of Health and Educational Facilities Finance Authorities.
Kristin is also active in the firm’s summer associate program, serving as an advisor and project coordinator, and has been heavily involved in the firm’s “Chapman in Action” community initiative through Spark Chicago, a mentorship program for 7th and 8th grade students from underserved communities.
Kristin joined Chapman in 2014, after participating in the 2013 summer associate program. Prior to joining Chapman, Kristin was a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Donn Kessler of the Arizona Court of Appeals.
