Melissa Ahn is counsel in Chapman's Asset Securitization Department. Her practice is focused on the representation of financial institution clients in securitization and structured finance transactions involving a variety of asset classes. Melissa's experience includes negotiating legal issues involving domestic and international counterparties; drafting indentures, loan agreements, forward and repurchase agreements, and legal opinions; and advising on financial downgrade consequences and potential cross-default triggers. She has also advised clients on internal reorganization and restructurings, including mergers, stock purchases, option rights, and liquidations.

Melissa has previously served as an adjunct professor at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School and practiced at an Am Law 100 firm.
