Paul Whitehair is counsel in Chapman’s Banking and Financial Services Department and a member of the Public and Institutional Banking & Finance Group.
Paul advises foreign and domestic credit providers in a variety of health care, higher education, municipal, and not-for-profit financings. His experience includes bank facilities to provide credit enhancement and liquidity support for tax-exempt financings, and the representation of financial institutions in the direct purchase of tax-exempt securities.
Paul has also served as bond counsel and disclosure counsel in governmental purpose bond financings. Paul’s experience includes the representation of school districts, park districts, cities and villages, counties, sanitary districts, conservation districts, and forest preserve districts in both general obligation and revenue bond transactions.
Paul started his legal career at Chapman. Prior to rejoining the firm in 2016, he worked as an associate at Mayer Brown LLP.
