Overview

Sean Snider is an associate in Chapman's Investment Management Group and a member of the firm's Corporate and Securities Department. His practice is focused on advising registered investment companies, investment advisers, and broker-dealers in matters involving the formation and operation of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), open-end funds, closed-end funds, and unit investment trusts. Sean also advises clients in a variety of risk management and compliance matters.

Prior to joining Chapman, Sean practiced law with two other firms in Chicago where he focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. He represented financial and strategic buyers, sellers, and investors in connection with private mergers, acquisitions and other private equity investments, corporate restructurings, recapitalizations, and similar transactions. Sean's transaction experience spanned multiple industries, including private equity, search funds, health care services, insurance, food and beverage, sporting products, and manufacturing. He also regularly advised on a variety of general corporate matters, including organizational matters, corporate governance, equity incentive matters, and commercial contracts.
