Women in Public Finance
Sharone Levy is senior counsel in the Illinois Public Finance Department of Chapman and Cutler. Sharone focuses her practice on acting as bond counsel for governmental use financings throughout Illinois, including school districts, park districts, public library districts, community college districts and cities and villages.
Sharone also has experience serving as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel in a variety of public financings in various states, advising clients on general obligation financings, utility revenue obligation financings, industrial development revenue bond financings, qualified 501(c)(3) revenue bond financings, exempt facility financings (including airports, sewerage and solid waste facilities) and tax increment bond financings.
Prior to joining Chapman and Cutler, Sharone worked as an analyst for Moody’s Investors Service in Chicago in the Midwest Regional Ratings Group, focusing on tax- and revenue - backed municipal securities in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.
