Stephanie DiSilvestro is senior counsel in Chapman’s Illinois Public Finance Department. Stephanie participated in Chapman’s summer associate program in 2010 and joined the firm in 2011.
Stephanie serves as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel in numerous public financings related to general obligation debt and specific revenue pledges. She regularly advises issuers, investment banks, commercial banks, investors, municipal advisors, and financial advisors on state law and federal tax and securities law matters relating to the structure and sale of governmental obligations.
Stephanie is a frequent speaker on public finance and regulatory topics, including post issuance compliance and federal tax and state law matters relevant to governmental issuers, and annually assists in preparing and presenting a State of Illinois legislative update to local school districts.
Stephanie dedicates substantial time to pro bono efforts and has worked on matters relating to family law, immigration, guardianship, and orders of protection.
Prior to joining Chapman, Stephanie interned at Mayer Brown and White & Case LLP and was a Judicial Extern for Judge Lynn M. Egan, Circuit Court of Cook County.
