Chapman is proud to announce the selection of Charles C. Calloway, Jr. to the 2022 class of the Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) Signature Fellows Program, the region’s premier civic leadership development organization that convenes, connects, and mobilizes promising leaders. This diverse group of 50 accomplished individuals represents a cross-section of professionals from the corporate, nonprofit, government, and education sectors.

Charles is a partner of Chapman’s Corporate Finance Department and represents financial institutions and other strategic investors with domestic and international direct placements of debt and equity securities in secured and unsecured financings. He also has an active sports finance and stadium finance practice. “I am honored to be selected as a member of the 2022 LGC class, especially with its renewed focus around racial justice. I look forward to working with LGC and my peer fellows to find solutions to the issues facing Greater Chicago, especially the unprecedented global pandemic, criminal justice reform, economic development and education,” he said.
Charles is actively engaged in Chicago's legal and charitable communities. He is a Fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel, serves on Chapman's Diversity Committee, and is a founding member of the firm’s Black Attorneys Business Resource Group. Charles also serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of SPARK, Inc., Treasurer and Vice Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Humanities Festival, and serves on the Business and Finance Advisory Council of The George Washington University Law School. He was also a Fellow of the 2021 Class of the Chicago Urban League’s IMPACT Leadership Development Program, in partnership with University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Charles joins past LGC fellows including Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx, Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, Former United States Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, and Former Senior Advisor to the President of the United States, Valerie Jarrett.
