Chapman attorney David Cholst served as primary drafting counsel on a comment letter submitted to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by the American Bar Association's (ABA) Section of Taxation. The comments were submitted in response to proposed regulations, issued by the IRS and the Department of the Treasury, to redefine a "political subdivision" for purposes of tax-exempt and other tax-advantaged bonds. David will present comments at the ABA Section of Taxation's Tax-Exempt Bond Committee meeting on May 12, 2017.
