Overview
John Bauco is a partner in Chapman's Banking and Financial Services Department and Commercial Lending Group. John focuses his practice on real estate finance matters, including the representation of banks, investment banks, insurance companies, specialty finance companies, REITs, and other financial institutional lenders in all aspects of commercial real estate mortgage, construction, and mezzanine loan financing transactions.
John has represented lenders and borrowers on loans and loan commitments valued in the tens of billions of dollars for properties located throughout the United States, including numerous well-known “trophy” properties, and has closed individual multi-billion dollar loans. John's experience includes the origination and restructuring of portfolio loans, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and construction mortgage loans to facilitate the acquisition, refinancing and construction of a range of real estate asset classes, including office buildings, retail, multifamily complexes, hotels, condominiums, ground leased properties, single tenant properties, and multi-state portfolios. John also advises clients on the purchase and sale of mortgage and mezzanine loans and note sales.
