Chapman and Cutler LLP is pleased to announce that Rick Antonoff has joined the firm’s Asset Securitization Department and Special Situations and Restructuring Group as a partner in the New York office. Rick has extensive experience representing banks, direct lenders, alternative investment funds, private equity firms, asset managers, and other parties in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court workouts across diverse asset classes and industries.

Rick represents lenders, investors, and other creditors, contract parties, indenture trustees, syndicated loan agents, and buyers of distressed assets in and out of formal bankruptcy proceedings. He also represents parties in intercreditor disputes, defendants in preference and fraudulent transfer litigation, and foreign representatives in cross-border insolvency cases. A significant part of Rick’s practice is providing bankruptcy advice and legal opinions, including true sale, true lease, and non-consolidation opinions, in structured finance and securitization transactions.

Rick is a member of the Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization Committee and the Structured Finance Committee of the New York City Bar Association, and Co-Chair of the Cross-Border Insolvency subcommittee.
