Overview
Amanda Hoffman is a partner and member of Chapman's Corporate Finance Department. She represents clients in a variety of corporate finance matters including private placements, credit tenant leases, construction loans, real estate debt transactions, equipment finance leases, and project finance. Amanda’s practice is focused on secured loans, equipment-based transactions, and contract-backed or real property secured structures. She has applied her experience with foreclosures and managing preliminary stages of restructurings and workouts to successful avoid litigation and negotiating alternative solutions for assets in distress.
Prior to joining Chapman, Amanda practiced in the Chicago office of an Am Law 100 firm.

- Represented a private debt fund in numerous mezzanine loans involving a multinational conglomerate technology company credit tenant.
- Represented insurance company investors and managed construction funding of credit tenant construction loans for distribution warehouses throughout the country.
- Represented institutional investors in private placement facilities for sponsor-backed wireless and internet portfolio companies supported by revenues from well-known US wireless carriers.
- Represented insurance company investors in numerous credit tenant loans, many involving construction, for Veterans Administration medical facilities, City and County municipal uses including emergency response and recreational projects, and US Federal Government administrative buildings.
- Represented a private real estate debt fund in numerous real property transactions for various sponsors acquiring and renovating Class A office and residential buildings.
- Represents insurance company investors in credit tenant loans constructing large retail spaces.
- Represented subordinated debt investors in a credit tenant loan to a Canadian gaming and entertainment operator secured by Canadian real estate.
- Represented an investment firm’s venture strategy division in debt financing and equity investments for growing start-up companies.
- Represented numerous railcar operating lease companies on various portfolio divestures of railcars.
- Represented large institutional bank in term loan and capex facilities secured by construction equipment.
