Overview

Chay Cain is Chapman senior counsel and a member of the Commercial Lending Group. Chay represents banks and other financial institutions in domestic and international single-bank and syndicated transactions, with an emphasis on asset-based lending, sponsor financings, acquisition financings, cross-border lending, health care financings, floor plan financings, and cash-flow lending. He has experience structuring, documenting, and negotiating both secured and unsecured facilities, as well as a variety of debt structures (including first lien/second lien, crossing lien, unitranche, and mezzanine structures).

Chay began his legal career at Chapman, participating in Chapman's summer associate program before joining the firm as an associate. Prior to rejoining Chapman, Chay served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., supporting the domestic and international asset-based lending team.
