Overview
Josh Kinard is an associate in Chapman's Asset Securitization Department.
Josh represents borrowers, issuers, funds, banks and other financial institutions in connection with the public and private issuance of asset-backed securities, secured credit facilities, and asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP) financing of credit card receivables, consumer loans, auto loans and leases, trade receivables, equipment leases, and other financial assets. His experience includes drafting and negotiating offering documents, credit agreements, amendments, security agreements, legal opinions, financing statements, and related loan documents. Josh also has experience advising clients in subscription credit facilities and other fund financings.
Prior to rejoining Chapman, Josh practiced law at Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP and he has previously practiced at Mayer Brown LLP. His previous work focused on advising corporate clients in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate finance matters, as well as documenting and negotiating purchase agreements and commercial contracts, corporate governance and entity formation, and due diligence matters.
