Overview
Sam Yoo is a partner and member of Chapman's Asset Securitization Department. He represents arrangers, sponsors, and placement agents in a broad range of structured finance transactions, including RMBS, consumer ABS, CDOs, CLOs, and bespoke and synthetic structures.
Sam's experience includes serving as issuer and underwriter counsel on a wide range of consumer ABS transactions and asset-backed commercial paper conduits, as well as serving as arranger and manager counsel on a variety of CDO and CLO (cash-flow, market value, hybrid, and synthetic structures) transactions.
Prior to joining Chapman, Sam was director and counsel at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, where he was the primary lawyer for the CLO new issue desk in New York. Sam also acted as the primary lawyer for the bank’s tax equity investment efforts in renewable energy, as well as its risk-weighted asset optimization efforts.
