Overview
Amy Johnson is a partner and member of Chapman's Public Finance Department and Public and Institutional Banking & Finance Group. Amy regularly serves as counsel to underwriters, issuers, and trustees. She also serves as disclosure counsel. Amy has extensive experience representing financial institutions that provide credit enhancement and liquidity support for tax‑exempt financings for municipal, health care, higher education, and not‑for‑profit borrowers. Her experience includes the representation of banks in direct purchase transactions involving tax‑exempt securities. Amy has also represented commercial banks in structuring secured and unsecured transactions involving revolving and term loan facilities.
Prior to joining Chapman, Amy practiced law with an Am Law 200 firm in Charlotte.
