Overview

Michael Samuels is senior counsel and a member of Chapman’s Banking and Financial Services Department, Special Situations and Restructuring Group, and Litigation Group. His practice is focused on creditors’ rights, commercial litigation, restructuring, and bankruptcy matters. He has extensive state and federal court litigation experience, including defensive litigation and actions to enforce promissory notes and guarantees, mortgage foreclosure proceedings, and complex commercial matters. Michael also represents creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including matters related to use of cash collateral, asset sales, stay relief motions, assumption or rejection of executory contracts, and unexpired leases, and plan confirmation.

Prior to joining Chapman, Michael practiced law at an Am Law 200 firm.
