Chapman represented Zip Co US Inc., a leading digital financial services company providing point-of-sale and digital payments services, in connection with the closing of its inaugural asset-backed securitization in the US. The transaction consisted of approximately $275 million of rated notes secured by point-of-sale loan assets generated through its Pay-in-Z program for US consumers.
Partner Adam Barton and associate Lara Greenberg led the Chapman deal team, which included partners Marc Franson, Steven Kopp, and David Nirenberg, and associate Thomas Callahan.
Chapman is a leader in the point-of-sale and “buy now pay later” lending space, having recently advised on the closing of another rated BNPL securitization, demonstrating the firm’s market-leading experience in one of the fastest-growing asset classes.
