Chapman served as lead counsel to Clairvest Group Inc., Clairvest Equity Partners VI, and Rubico Gaming LLC in the acquisition and financing of the Delaware Park casino and racetrack in Wilmington, Delaware. Partner Cathy Rossouw led the Chapman deal team that included Michael Friedman, Helena Honig, and Carson Klarck on the acquisition, and Simone Tatsch, Nick Whitney, Eric Manor, and Jenny Lee Kawamura on the financing.
Delaware Park follows a number of casino and racino transactions the firm has closed in recent years, including representing Centaur Holdings, LLC in connection with the sale of all of its assets including two Indiana-based casinos and horse racing tracks to Caesars Entertainment for $1.7 billion, and representing Spectacle Entertainment in the acquisition, financing and development of the Hard Rock Northern Indiana Casino in Gary, Indiana.
