Sharing Our Knowledge          

Every year, we arrange more than 75 CLE programs for our attorneys, many of which are presented by Chapman attorneys. Associates, too, have the opportunity to teach and share their knowledge. Mentoring Circles and Business Resource Groups

Our partners understand what it takes to build and maintain a client base. With that in mind, our mentoring circles support the learning and advancement of our lawyers. Chapman also has Business Resource Groups—Ethnically Diverse Attorneys, LGBTQ Attorneys, Women Attorneys, Working Parent Attorneys, Attorneys with Disabilities and Their Allies, First Gen Attorneys, and Jewish Attorneys—which offer opportunities for attorneys from similar circumstances to network and support each others’ goals. 

Pro Bono Matters 

Chapman strongly encourages our lawyers to participate in pro bono activities, often helping attorneys find pro bono opportunities with local organizations. In addition, all associates receive billable hour credit for a certain number of hours of pro bono work.

Compensation & Benefits

Chapman offers its attorneys very competitive compensation and generous benefits. We support full-time, flex-time, and alternative work policies; offer extended parental leave; provide access to backup child and elder care; and offer a tax gross-up for health care benefits for same-sex couples. Additionally, we encourage our attorneys to become active participants in bar associations and other professional associations, and we pay dues and related costs for an organization of their choice.
