Overview

The Consumer Financial Services Group advises financial institutions, including trust companies, on private banking and trust services including licensing and trust powers. The firm assists clients with personal trust, corporate trust and employee benefits trust programs, "high net worth" banking (deposit and lending products) as well as non-deposit investment and derivatives products on a multi-state basis and associated legal and regulatory compliance.

We have helped our bank clients work effectively with family offices established by their customers.

Chapman's Banking and Financial Services lawyers work with the firm's Trusts and Estates Group to provide comprehensive advice in trustee, trust administration and related matters. We also represent clients in the purchase and sale of trust businesses and oversee the licensing of trust companies, and we are particularly involved with the ongoing representation of clients' trust functions for financial institutions and trust companies.
