OLPI: A Conversation with Jelena McWilliams, Chairman of the FDIC

The Online Lending Policy Institute (OLPI) will be hosting a conversation with Chairman of the FDIC, Jelena McWilliams, and OLPI Executive Director, Professor Cornelius Hurley, on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 3:00 pm EDT to discuss the new FDIC rule issued on June 25 which adopts the common law doctrines of “valid when made” and “most favored lender" as well as other topics related to fintech. Following the interview with Chairman McWilliams, Chapman Partner and OLPI Governing Board Member, Marc Franson, will be moderating a conversation with FDIC Deputy to the Chairman & Chief of Staff, Brandon Milhorn, on the potential for a public/private standard-setting partnership and voluntary certification program to promote the efficient and effective adoption of innovative technologies at FDIC-supervised financial institutions.
