December 2019

Recent Chapman pro bono efforts have resulted in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) granting parole to two women, both victims of torture for their involvement in the Anglophone separatist movement in Cameroon. Both women will be released from immigration detention to be with family and friends while they await hearings before the immigration court. The pro bono team working on the cases included Chapman attorneys Michael Reed, Keiko Quiñones-Osumi, Abby Nyantakyi, and Lauren Rushing as well as Finance Law Development Analysts Rachel Waddey and Noah Shore.
