Overview

Chapman and Cutler attorneys have a wide range of experience with the consumer loan asset class. From first generation transactions during the 1990s to recent transactions reflecting evolved structures and compliance with current law, we have been involved in every phase of the growth of this asset class. We have extensive experience with all aspects of this asset class, representing both issuers (new and highly experienced) and underwriters/purchasers in term and revolving note transactions. We also represent issuers and prospective issuers and buyers in connection with acquisitions of consumer loan portfolios through securitizations and principal finance arrangements.
